Maria Suñol Rodrigo

Post-doctoral Researcher

Maria completed her PhD at the Psychiatry and Mental Health department of Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute in Barcelona, where she investigated the neural bases of obsessions and compulsions in healthy children using neuroimaging and genetic tools.

Her current work centers on the study of the intersection between social and affective cognition using multivariate neuroimaging analysis techniques. Additionally, she collaborates with the Anthropology Of Animal Life research group studying human attitudes toward animals.

Saül Pascual Díaz

Post-doctoral Researcher

Saül possesses extensive neuroimaging data analysis skills. During his PhD at the University of Barcelona, he developed a novel method to minimize surgical damage using diffusion MRI data and taught neuroimaging.

He is a member of the SPRINT project, which focuses on identifying a neuroimaging signature for chronic pain in adolescents. He has collaborated with international consortia including MELD and ENIGMA.

He coordinates science outreach initiatives and serves as social media coordinator for Spain’s Pint of Science team.
